Today, I have the quickest of stories for you about what happened when I met a spider back in early January.
Bonus: Tomorrow I'll have the same story, but told from the spider's perspective.
Without further ado, here's "A Spider Encounter."
Today I’m going to tell you a little story. Picture it: I get back from walking the dogs in about -1000 degree weather. With numb hands, face, and feet, I stumble to the bathroom to get water running for a nice hot rejuvenating shower.
I slide the glass door open.
I bend down to turn the handle of the faucet.
Something twangs in my brain. That’s not right.
And there he is in the corner, not more than six inches away from the faucet. A little spider friend also seeking to escape the cold.
Well, he didn’t get to escape it long. I got up, collected a glass from the kitchen, scooped him up, and dumped him outside. I might be cool with living with spiders (after all, they eat the other creepy crawlies!), but I’m not cool with showering with them.
